On Thursday and Friday, 17 and 18 September 2026 the SNP2Prot retreat 09/26 will take place at IPK Gatersleben (Corrensstraße 3, 06466 Seeland, OT Gatersleben), one of the participating institutions within our Collaborative Research Centre.
The retreat will mainly focus on progress reports and scientific exchange within SNP2Prot. In addition, there will be opportunities for informal discussions with colleagues, a guided tour of IPK facilities, as well as dedicated PI and ECR meetings on current topics of interest.

Transport:
We have organized a company bus for joint travel:
- Thursday morning (from 8:00 am): Departure from Halle Main Station (Hbf) and from Campus Heide Süd) to Gatersleben. – Colleagues from Leipzig may travel to Halle by S-Bahn and join the bus from Halle Main Station
- Thursday afternoon (5 pm)/ Friday morning (8:30 am): Joint transport between Gatersleben and Quedlinburg
- Friday afternoon (5 pm): Company bus back to Halle, stopping at Campus Heide Süd and Halle Main Station (Hbf)
In case we exceed the capacity of the company bus, we additionally organized MLU busses for the joint transport.If you prefer, you may use individual transport by car or public transportation; related expenses can be reimbursed after the retreat.
Accommodation:
We have reserved accommodation at “Best Western Hotel Schlossmühle” in Quedlinburg. The hotel provides a limited number of single rooms and double rooms. ECRs may need to share a double room: In the registration form you can name a person you would like to share a room with. Your preferences will be taken into account where possible.

One presentation per project by Postdocs and PhD (20-minute talk per subproject + 5 min discussion) - IPK Guided tour
Including the IPK gene bank and the Phenosphere - GAM / PI meeting / ECR meeting
Dedicated sessions for exchange on current topics
